A man walks in the forest, his husband’s hand in his own, and the two are walking with their entire oddball family, two hellhounds, a wyrm, and a Xenomorph. The alien is walking with the young girl in his black arms; sleeping soundly; Lucy walking on Damien’s right and Lucia walking on Pip’s left, while Ash is sitting contently on Bone’s dome head, which is starting to grow ridges around the sides. This is a usual family activity, walking aimlessly around the forest behind their home, a chance to get away from the chaos of the city they live in.
The snow covered ground crunches and is kicked up as they walk, mostly from the still growing German shepherd hellhound, Lucia. Even with their large size, it still astounds the one human how the Xenomorphs remain quiet while walking, especially in such ice-covered snow. The two men both find it slightly odd that they have not run into any other Aliens with their masters; seeing as how there are plenty of hunters still living in the city, even though it has grown to over a few thousand residents (nearly everyone with an alien pet of their own).
The blonde man smiles as he watches Lucia become excited for some reason and begin running around the snow with her tail wagging, barking at the air and snapping at nothing. Damien chuckles at the hellhound’s actions, while her mother walks faster forward and gives her pup a light nip on the ear, stopping the pup.
“Its fine, Lucy, she’s not hurting them, right Lucia?” Damien says, scolding the Rottweiler hellhound before chuckling at the two-year old shepherd hellhound.
“Hurting who?” Pip questions, seeing nothing as Lucia continues to snap at the air.
“The fairies, of course.” Damien says with a chuckle.
“I don’t see them.” Bones whispers, still cradling the demon girl in his arms.
“Neither do I.” Pip admits, watching Lucia prance around in the snow.
Damien chuckles and holds his hand over Pip’s eyes, giving his husband’s hand a light squeeze in his own hand. The man’s hand glows red for a few seconds, Pip blinded slightly before the demon pulls his hand away and suddenly Pip can see. Flying right above Lucia are small human-looking creatures, with little bug wings and what looks like small clothes made out of different colored leaves.
The fairies are leaving some golden dust as they flutter around the hellhound, diving around the energetic puppy as she bites at the air, playing with each other. Pip’s eyes widen at the sight, Damien snickering at his husband’s first look at the fey folk. Bones leans his head down closer to the demon man, and Damien places his hand on the alien’s head as it glows red, just as he did with his husband. When the man pulls away his hand, the alien lets out a low hiss as he looks over and sees the fairies.
“You aren’t supposed to do that.”
Damien rolls his eyes and sighs as a tall, lithe and absolutely gorgeous creature walks out from behind a tree. The creature is none other than an elf, a pale-skinned male in what looks to be a dress made out of stitched-together leaves and brown shoes of the same material. The elf has pointed ears and gold almond-slanted eyes, highlighted with a beautifully angled and well-toned face, and long golden hair down to his back.
Pip stares at the elf as the fairies begin buzzing around him before going back to playing with Lucia, the pup under the watchful eye of her mother. The elf man is staring with an unimpressed look at the human, his hands folded in front of him as he turns to look at the demon prince.
“You know non-magic creatures should never see us.” The elf chides the man as if he were just a boy.
“This human is my husband, this alien is my friend, and as the Prince of Hell, I have full authority to allow this.” Damien retorts as Ash sits upright on his tail on Bones’ head, raising his frills at the elf.
The elf man narrows his almond eyes at the demon, only to open them again so fast it didn’t even seem like he had done anything at all. The elf gives the demon a curt nod and turns around, walking away and leaving absolutely no prints in the snow. Damien rolls his red eyes and tugs his hand that’s in his husband’s, turning around to walk out of the forest.
Damien whistles quietly and his two hellhounds quickly run through the snow and both resume their positions. A small giggling captures everyone’s attention from the dead silence, all looking at the bundle in Bones’ arms. Pandora is giggling with red eyes open, reaching out to try and touch a small fairy as it flutters around the girl.
Bones hisses and captures the attention of the fairy, which flies up and smacks the head of the alien, making some of the sparkling dust around its body spread out around the alien’s head. Pandora giggles as Ash launches forward off Bones’ head and captures the fairy in his small claws, wagging the end of his tail in delight as he lands on the flat side of the Xenomorphs tail, his back end hanging down and his front end held up slightly.
The alien’s tail moves closer to his hands, turning it around so that the still small wyrm is facing Pandora, his claws still holding the fairy, a glowing coming from it. The little girl giggles as Ash opens his claws and the fairy dashes out, leaving a small trail of the pixie dust. The fairy flies away quickly, zigzagging around the two men’s heads before flying off. Ash climbs back up on top of Bones’ head while the others are watching the fairy.
The little girl jumps down from the Xenomorph’s arms and runs forward, yelling at her parents to hurry up. Damien chuckles as Lucia runs after the girl excitedly, Pip pointing out,
“You don’t even know where we’re going, sweetie.”
Pandora slows down before stopping and turning around, giggling as she realizes she really didn’t know where she was going. Damien releases Pip’s hand and quickly runs after his daughter, making the little girl squeal in delight as her father scoops her up in his arms, hugging the little blonde in his arms. The father and daughter rub noses with wide smiles, giggling in the cold air as the man wraps his arms tighter around the girl.
Pip smiles at the two as Pandora dramatically complains about not breathing, Lucy walking to her daughter and nuzzling her pup’s muzzle. Damien sets his daughter down in the snow, the little girl immediately dashing to her blonde father, the man kneeling down and embracing his daughter before standing up, placing a kiss on the girl’s cheek.
Bones walks forward and stands behind Pip, wrapping one arm around the man and girl’s waist before lifting the man up with ease and walking forward again, making them both laugh. Damien shakes his head as the he begins walking, the two hellhounds walking on either side. When Bones walks right next to the man, he walks on Damien’s left, Pip and Pandora hanging on the Alien’s side in his arm and smiling at Damien.
“Don’t drop that luggage now, Bones.” Damien jokes, reaching out and pinching his husband’s cheek, which makes the man groan and Pandora giggle louder.
“Ugh, I’ll try, it’s kinda heavy.” Bones says, loosening his grip enough to give the two a bit of a scare, only to wrap his arm around immediately, Pandora finding this entertaining.
The blonde man hits the Xenomorph’s arm as Ash chuckles at the alien’s comment. Bones carefully sets the man on his feet after a little longer of walking, and Pandora slides out of her blonde father’s grasp as Pip stumbles backward. Damien catches Pip as the blonde nearly falls, putting his arms under Pip’s and holding the man up that way. The blonde looks up at Damien as the demon looks down, both smiling.
“Well hey there.” Damien says with a chuckle.
“Hello.” Pip responds, chuckling as well.
Damien kisses the blonde chastely before pulling back and helping to push Pip back onto his feet, wrapping his arms around Pip’s waist and burying his head in the back of the man’s neck. Pandora giggles at her parents, her laughter increasing as Bones picks her up in his arms and tucks her under one arm again, walking forward towards the city; the direction they were going earlier. Lucy and Lucia are standing by a tree not too far from the others, having gone on ahead and waiting while the others were playing.
The married men walk close together, Damien’s arm around Pip’s waist and Pip’s arm around Damien’s, both smiling contently as they walk in the snow. Lucia and Lucy run forward, Lucia chasing after more fairies and Lucy trying to get her pup under control. Lucia is a large dog, not looking like the puppy she still is, which is common among German shepherds, even the hellhounds that look like them. Lucy is larger than her daughter, but not by much. Ash is still the smallest creature in the family, only two and a half feet long from tail to snout.
~*~
Once the family goes into the city, they stay close together on the sidewalk; Bones stays especially close to his family. Since the city had the Aliens grow in the city, it is very easy for the individual aliens to get lost or get mistaken for others. Nearly everyone in the city—nearly three million humans, including children—has had an alien implanted and removed. The children were exempt from getting implanted, unless it was their wish to have an alien.
Out of the three million humans, nearly every single person who had an alien kept it as a pet, and the few that were not adopted were placed in the police force or live with the Queen in the abandoned jail. The aliens have made the city twice as crowded—literally—and certain precautions have also been taken, such as many signs made to show pictures of where the aliens can and cannot be. Along with that, special cars made to hold the creatures with the humans have been made right in the city, and are now very popular among the humans—some aliens have even been allowed to drive; a ‘why not?’ decision.
With normal pets, the humans have been placing special collars around their Xenomorph’s, and some have humans that give them clothing to make them easier to spot; although shirts are never seen on them. Along with normal pets, the humans also give their Alien’s names, some normal human names, and some horribly demeaning names. Damien literally nearly punched someone in the face for naming their Xenomorph ‘Fluffy’ a few weeks ago.
The Pirrup family walks down a sidewalk, keeping close together around the bustling crowd of humans and aliens. Pip was slightly disappointed in realizing that there are not any magical creatures that walk among the two species. Though he did see someone who counted as a magical creature. The Grim Reaper.
Damien had been the first to spot Death, and pointed him out to his husband when he was sure that Pandora wasn’t paying attention. Pandora already knows of the Reaper, calling him ‘Uncle Grim’ fondly. The reason Damien didn’t want his daughter to see the skeleton is because if she did, she might run out after him and possibly get lost for a short time. Instead, the demon and human wave at the undead bringer of death, who spots them and waves back with a bony smile. Damien and Pip watch as Grim follows a man in an orange parka with a Xenomorph’s tail around the human’s shoulder, the man conversing with the alien while walking.
They both immediately recognize the man as Kenny, and the man looks over from his conversation with his pet, spotting the demon and family. Kenny waves at them as he keeps walking before going back to talking with his Xenomorph, both fully unaware of Death following them. Damien chuckles at the man; he’s seen Grim following that parka-clad guy since he was a kid.
Being a creature close to and bringing death and misery, Damien has always been good friends with Grim. When he was a teen, the demon had asked Grim why he followed Kenny around all the time and the skeleton responded in a Jamaican accent,
”It’s easier this way, mon.” And Damien didn’t need any further information to guess what he meant.
The family walks across the crosswalk with the crowd, Damien and Pip hand-in-hand as Bones has Pandora in his arms, Ash on his head, and both hellhounds are next to the two men. A loud screeching of tires catches everyone’s attention, everyone looking down the street as a car swerves frantically around, going straight for Kenny. Without a word or sound, Kenny’s alien runs forward with its head down, charging at the car. Instead of crushing the Xenomorph, the car’s side is pushed inward as it makes contact with the alien, which makes claw marks in the street as it digs its feet in. Once the car is at a stop thanks to the alien, the Pirrup family sees Grim walk towards the car as Kenny’s Xenomorph places its hands under the car and with a tug upwards, flips over the car onto its top.
They realize why when the alien shoves its tail through the shattered front glass and a gurgled scream erupts, the bone-like tail pulling out covered in blood. Pandora remains in Bones’ arms as they see Grim lift his scythe before bringing it down, passing through the car and taking the human’s life. The Reaper fades into nothing as he takes the invisible soul to purgatory—where it will be judged on where to go for the afterlife. Kenny runs forward and glomps his alien thankfully, the Xenomorph picking up the male in its arms and carrying him back into the crowd of the sidewalk. Just another day in the large city of South Park.
